Whether you prefer to travel light or heavy, whenever you set off on a trip, what you really want is simply (be honest and just admit it!) to take everything along with you. And it frequently happens that you ALSO want to have enough room to bring back even more than you set out with!

No wonder it's become a real trend on the web with #packwithme and similar content popping up all over the social networks. Creating a deep sense of satisfaction as we watch them, showing people compartmentalizing their clothes, accessories and other toiletries in bags or cases before arranging them Tetris-style in their suitcases or bags.

Step #1: Work out the number of days you'll be spending at your destination (so far, so good!). This will let you calculate the amount of outfits and changes of clothing you'll need to take, and enable you to decide the size of the suitcase you'll need to choose!

Step #2: Lay out all your belongings on your bed (folded please! That’s not too much to ask, is it?) and keep the different types of clothing separate: trousers/skirts, T-shirts and other tops, underwear, etc... Also make sure to pack your shoes in bags to keep the rest of your belongings clean!

Step #3: For the more organized among us, pack your clothes in travel organisers. They’ll help keep your clothes in place, make them easier to find, and even keep your dirty and clean clothes separate when you're travelling back home.

ANOTHER USEFUL TIP!

And this is where we can hear you exclaim: "each to his or her own" – you can also simply roll up your clothes (the "backpacker" technique). It's a good way to reduce the amount of space they take up in their compartment! This can be a good solution if you don't intend to unpack all your belongings as soon as you arrive at your destination.

Step #4: What about the toiletry bag? This is where things get a bit tricky. You’re catching a plane and only have a carry-on suitcase or bag? Don't forget to pack your transparent liquid pouch and put it on top of everything else, to avoid having airport security going through all your belongings 😉.

If you’re travelling with a suitcase in the hold, treat the toiletry bag as a bulky item at step #1 and pack it at the bottom of your bag.

Finally, to guarantee a comfortable trip, keep your essentials within easy reach: ticket, passport, phone charger, etc., by slipping them into the inside or outside pocket of your suitcas
